"You are what you eat" may sound cliche, but it is true. The fact that what we eat literally travels through our bodies and effects our bodily functions convinces me to eat healthier.
Colors! Always strive to eat colorfully, for that guarantees higher nutrient intake. No, don't make excuses with multi-colored chips or candies. Enjoy the colors that food naturally blesses us with. Each color represents different types of vitamins and minerals, so altogether, we can achieve ultimate health!
Just a few benefits of different (natural!!) colors:
RED... Protects the skin from sun damage; Decreases risk of heart disease and symptoms
of asthma, wheezing, and shortness of breath during exercise.
ORANGE... The vitamin A strengthens the immune system and helps one see better in low-
light conditions.
YELLOW... Helps decrease joint inflammation, and improves the respiratory system.
GREEN... Promotes healthy vision; Speeds up healing rate; Strengthens bones, muscles,
and brain.
BLUE/ PURPLE... Makes brain cells more responsive; Promotes growth of new nerve cells
Cute blog Andrea~ keep it up!

DeleteHey you should look up this book called "Beauty Detox Solution" by Kimberly Snyder. I think you'll really like it. It's about freeing up "beauty" energy by not only controlling what you eat but when you eat and how you eat as well. It's reallly good. Also, if you want a book about how the food system in America got into the state it's currently in, and what you can do to help improve the broken food system in America, you should look up "Fair Food: Growing a Healthy, Sustainable Food System For All" by Oran B. Hesterman. It's more about the politics and the corporate side of the actual food system in America. Good idea on your blog. Hope to see more good stuff!
